...or, if you prefer, favourite anti-Gwen moment! Yes, you can all breathe again - I'm not converting. But I've been watching my fave eps (or parts of) in season 1 & season 2, and I have to confess that there are two particular moments focusing on Gwen that I really liked. Granted, the first one at least comes down to interpretation, but I claim literary license.
No. 1: When Jack chose Gwen to take him to his show-down with Abaddon.
Why? Because I believe wholeheartedly that he wanted to be sure that Ianto, Tosh and Owen were all safe, whereas the bitch who incited the rebellion was completely expendable.
No. 2: The scene in "Adrift" when Rhys explodes at Gwen, and accuses her of being all 'me me me'. Tell me that hadn't been a long time coming!!!
And as an afternote, I felt compelled to write the following after nearly burning my eyeballs out of my skull reading the tripe on the House of Cooper site.
Ten Reasons Why I Hate Gwen Cooper
She is:
1. disingenuous
2. self-important
3. a tramp
4. she can't take no for an answer
5. has control issues
6. is only honest when retcon is available (or, alternatively, when she's not the one directly in the firing line)
7. she expects everyone to bow to her every whim regardless of who she hurts
8. is utterly blind to what's going on in the lives of her teammates (because, of course, no one matters except her)
9. can't cope when she isn't the centre of Jack's attention
10. doesn't believe the rules apply to her
11. she covets Jack
12. always tries to make everything about her
13. she covets Jack
Okay, so I know that's 13. And I repeated number 11, but frankly that one is just so abominable that it's worth mentioning twice. Because Jack belongs to Ianto, dammit! It's canon!

Reasons I dislike Gwen
1) she thinks she's the be all and end all of everything
2) she has no regard for who she hurts as long as she gets her way
3) following orders does not apply to her
4) her eyes (enough said)
5) she doesn't understand that others have more knowledge than her
6) Is self-important
7) she's stupid
8) she turns everything into a Gwen show
9) she's a slut
10) she's soo fake

I second that! I know it's not 'canon' technically but in the BBCA Captain's Blog for Dead Man Walking, Jack says that Ianto would have stopped him from doing something risky, even if it meant that Owen wouldn't come back.

My all time favourite anti-hwen scene has to be at her wedding when she's dancing with Jack. Then Ianto walks up to cut in so gwen thinks he means with her (obviously, who wouldn't want to dance with the wonderful Gwen?) So she opens her arms but when he goes to dance with jack she sort of puts her arms together and looks at them funny and her face is full of rejection :P

1-In the first episode when Jack retconned her. Too bad it didn't take.
2-Second episode when she was bitching (can I use that word here?) that they weren't doing anything to help Carys and then Jack shut her up by pointing out exactly what was happening. Also when she, the new girl, was telling them that they shouldn't be accessing the systems they were and Tosh gave her that "shut up new girl" look.
3-The look on her face when she realized that she, not Owen, killed Ed Morgan.
4-When she got shot in Countrycide. Too bad she made it.
5-Giving Rhys the retcon, confessing the affair to him asking for forgiveness and he passed out without giving her absolution.
6-Jack getting her hot and bothered on the shooting range and then leaving her alone.
7-Her telling Jack she accepted Rhys' proposal causing no one else will have her and him congratulating her and walking away.
8-Going to kiss Jack right before the wedding and then finding out it's the nostrovite.
9-The ever popular Ianto interrupting Jack and Gwen to dance with Jack.

..Whew
..Do you know you have completely summed up why I hate Gwen in a nutshell with your list...there are a few minor items (like the way she treats Rhys) but it totally is how I feel!
Repeating 13...Thats fine...It needs to be said twice because she's that bad!
And i am fully with you on the Abbadon reason...If only we could throw her out of the morgue when Jack is dead then that ending would be complete...*tries to retcon images of Gwen kissing Dead Jack out of my head*

This means if I want to watch anything I have to record it, hoping that a toddler has not tried to "feed" the recoding device again.
As a result I can miss out Gwen moments that disgust me {most of them}, or turn down sound without getting complained at.
Thus I have actually missed some "important" Gwen moments. Including some mentioned here. I did enjoy the unconscious scenes though. However, anyone noticed her eyes still bulged, even when she was supposed to be paralyzed? Or had a toddler spread jelly on the TV screen again?
