A/N: This is based off the story by Hans Christain Andersen's short story of the same title. I wanted to write my story in that same format so much of what you will read is taken from the actual story itself

A/N 2: I actually wrote this becasue I was inspired by another writer who wrote stories for Torchwood based on fairy tales...I can't remeber who it was but I would like to acknowledge them so if any one knows please let me know who it was! I'm a bit nervous about this story so any comments would be appericated! But please...no flames. I burn easily.
