I'm a new fan ( only been watching for about a month, hey I live in P.R.) and I want to begin to read the books, but before I go spending money, I want to know if they are any good, the ones that have some janto and the ones that Gwen isn't the center of the universe.

Hi I would avoid the first 3 books as thats exactly what they are like.

Twilight Street and almost perfect are great for Janto, also pack animals has Jack and Ianto going on a date to the zoo.

the last 6 books are a lot better and based in the second season so I would read those.

I wouldn't bother with books 1-3.
I reckon Almost Perfect could match Twilight Streets for Janto-ness. I love them both.
And persnally, i was disappointed with Pack Animals. When i heard Jack and Ianto go on a date i got really exctited but when i read it i thought that it was really gewn-centric and once we knew they were on a date we heard nothing of jack and ianto for almost 100 pages :S

I read Twilight Streets, the book was good but it left something to be desired about Jack and ianto relationship, it left me with the impression that Jack was with Ianto, because of how he looked and acted.

Almost Perfect I thought was really quite good. It's Ianto based and is very slashy.
And any book which has Ianto in a woman's body is worth a read *g*

Almost Perfect was slashy but not for Janto. For Janto it was a major disappointment. Neither Ianto nor Jack seemed very interested in why or how Ianto became a woman; Jack didn't want anything to do with Ianto as a woman; Ianto wanted to snog some other guy; and Jack was reliving and expected a 3some with those other 2 guys. I was extremely disappointed in it. For Janto Pack Animals was best. Unfortunately all the books have too much Gwen.

I would go for Twilight Streets or Almost Perfect. Great reads and full of Janto goodness.
