Going through Issue 10 of Torchwood magazine I found something that made me go 'Guh. Not again'.
Slight spoilers for series 3 involving Jack, Gwen and Ianto. Along with my speculation.
The regular cast are very excited by the scripts, which include plenty more secrets for Captain Jack, a huge crisis for Gwen and Rhys, and an exploration of Ianto's family.
A huge crisis? You mean like every other Rhys/Gwen storyline? *rolls eyes*
Let me guess; Gwen becomes pregnant anddemands decides to keep working in the field- Torchwood is the Gwen Cooper show, after all. Jack has to deliver the baby and we get a where's my bucket scene where Gwen tells Jack that she considers Jack to be the baby's 'real' father. I bet she even names it Little Jack. Knowing Gwen the baby's biological father is probably PC Andy.

Lol, your speculation sounds like a really bad bit of fanfic that probably exists already. You know what Gwackers are like.

Yeah, I'm sure it does exist on some Gwack fangirl's journal, right below a post about how Jack is only using Ianto for sex because he can't have Gwen.
'As long as they don't break-up, it doesn't bother me. I want to see Rhys yell at her again like he did in Adrift.'
Yeah, it was a long time in coming. I hope they don't break up either, Rhys is the only thing that I find interesting about Gwen.
Was I the only one who noticed that after that scene in Adrift they showed a close up of Gwen where it looks like Eve is trying not to laugh?

Which scene in Adrift? If Eve has to try really hard not to laugh at her scripts, my feelings toward her just changed from apathy to love.
Back to the original post, my first thought before reading your commentary was also totallyexpected!pregnancy, but I was hoping it would have happened during the hiatus and she was forced to spend the whole series on maternity leave. I think your vision is much more likely, though. It'll be interesting how they justify the Jack-is-the-real-father story!

Yes, how indeed :D There ship name could be 'Randy'.
'Which scene in Adrift?'
It was right after Rhys had finished yelling at her ('you got a problem at work, you sort it at work...') there is a close up of Eve (20:27) and it really looks like she's trying not to laugh- at least to me it does.

It will be interesting to see if they do make Jack the father, or if Gwen becomes pregnant at all.

Me too.
'And the only thing I like about Gwen is Rhys so I hope they don't break up- or if they do Rhys remains in the show as her love-interest if you see what I mean.'
Yeah, I find Gwen much more interesting when she's with Rhys. I see what you mean ;)

I just hope they are not planning to break up Gwen and Rhys and so she can be with Jack. Forgive me while I go off and throw up now at the thought---

Re: Gwen
I don't think they will, the fact that Gwen has a 'normal' life outside of Torchwood is basically what her character is all about. I do think they are going to continue the Jack/Gwen UST (Unresolved Sexual Tension)- which apparently only the writers see.

Re: Gwen
{So far this morning I have fed, washed and changed a baby, bathed a toddler, got a husband out of bed, fed the family breakfast, taken the kids to school etc. That is a normal life to me--- and now I am going shopping, with the baby and toddler as well-----}.

Re: Gwen
Yeah, Gwen's 'normal' life basically consists of:
1. Gwen doing something stupid. No one will be angry because she'll say '...but I care'.
2. Rhys yelling about 'bastard Torchwood' and/or 'bastard Jack'.
3. Rhys saying how much he loves her. The writers want to make it very care that Rhys loves Gwen and that Gwen loves Rhys, just not in the way she loves Jack.
4. Gwen making doe-eyes at Jack.

That would certainly throw Gwen's fantasy world into a tizz.
And ooh yes, I too would love to see her get another monumental yelling-at from Rhys!
Please?
Pretty Please??

Oh, I like your silly, optimistic thinking.

I second that.

And there is much happy dancing!
Because obviously this means he's taking Jack home to meet his mum and sister for pre-partnership planing... yes.

Oh, I like the way you think.

Perhaps we could club together and buy him a T-shirt with
" I love Gwen very much" written on the front and
"Kick me" on the back?????
(actually perhaps we could put "Someone shoot me....PLEASE" on the back???)

Oh, that t-shirt is a great idea. Poor Rhys. Poor, poor Rhys.

Sleeping with Owen wasn't her fault, she just needed someone to talk to. *rolls eyes*
'Or something horrible like sleeping with Ianto '
She might sleep with Ianto; he is the only man an the show not in love with her. I'm guessing if they bring in a new male character she'll probably
sleep withwelcome him. It's not like Gwen is married or anything. *Ianto style eye-roll*From:

I am firmly convinced that if Gwen hadn't joined Torchwood, she would have used that excuse to shag Andy after one too many bad crime scenes.
And 'needed someone to talk to', bullshit on that. If Gwen had wanted somebody to talk to, there was always Tosh - Jack being immortal wouldn't have had the same outlook as her, and I doubt if Ianto would have crossed her mind - but Gwen could have easily gone to Tosh if she needed somebody to talk to. But of course, if she'd done that, then Gwen wouldn't have been able to have been Queen of the pity party, because Tosh had had a much worse day than her (okay, Tosh didn't get shot, but Gwen at least had a doctor on hand to patch her up, and didn't have to run for her life through the woods)

Absolutely, he even has a (mind boggling) crush on her.
'If Gwen had wanted somebody to talk to, there was always Tosh'
Yeah, if anything it would have given Tosh more screen time.
'Queen of the pity party'
That is the perfect description of Gwen :D
