RTD said that Gwen is suppose to be Rose to Jack's Doctor, and I always thought that Gwen has been written TOO much like Rose. Gwen comes off as very immature; pining for Jack whilst engaged/married to Rhys (and cheating on him with Owen), DEMANDING her wedding although it got someone killed. Rose was suppose to be immature because she is young, but Gwen suppose to be an adult with an adult job and an adult relationship.

I'm the first to admit that I'm prejudiced.
I love Rose - and Martha, and Donna - but they're not Rose.
When I see comparisons between Gwen and Rose (regardless of Rusty's intent) I just want to throw up, violently.
And I think Rose would too.

I've heard that before. I think I would like Gwen a little if she was her own character and not a Rose copy. A naive companion-like character might work for one or two episodes of an adult show but not two series's.

Yeah, over the course of Series 2 I really tried to like Gwen, but I just found her so unlikable; I couldn't believe it when she left Andy at the dock. She's supposed to be his friend (not to mention she's supposed to be the heart of the team)?
