Hello peeps! I wonder if you lot could help me, I've recently been filling in the 'readers poll' in my copy of the latest issue of the Torchwood magazine and I've got stuck on one of the questions:
"Best Gwen moment"
At first I thought, "ok, I've wrote down awesome moments for all the others so it's only fair that I find a good point in the series for Gwen"...
...I couldn't think of any.
I asked my boyfriend to help me with this and he suggested that the best Gwen moment was when she got shot by a shotgun on 'countrycide'. well, that started me off and opened a whole range of answers I could put:
- When she was getting shot in the head...slowly in 'they keep killing Suzie'
- When she almost died due to the paralyzing lip gloss in 'Kiss kiss bang bang'
- Getting preggers by an alien on your wedding day, then feeling guilty as your parents think they're going to be grandparents and then looking like a right slag by almost kissing another man...who turns out to be an alien trying to rip your stomach open. (was just me, or was any of you screaming at the TV for almost the whole length of that episode when you first saw it? Hormones my arse.)
Etc, etc...
So, have any of you lot done the readers poll for the Torchwood magazine? If so, what did you put down as "Bestcock-up Gwen Moment"?

- lying to Rhys first episode series one about not knowing anything about murder downtown
- berating the team because they took a break (had something to eat and some discussion) while they were analyzing various air samples etc. for Carys -- funny just cause you're in Torchwood doesn't mean you don't need to eat or a moment away from the pressures, etc.
- thinking she's all high and mighty and special and yet when Jack asks what Carys's current employment is - Gwen is a complete blank (and this is the woman so proud of herself for digging out Carys's background and the emails about Orlando Bloom!)
- kissing Jack 'thank you' after he saves her arse
- ANY time that Gwen/Eve starts in with those goddamned Cow-Eyes as a show of emotion
- sleeping with Owen
- Retconning Rhys when her conscience gets to troublesome - so she decides to confess all and demand (not ask mind you) forgiveness but of course this only happens after she's dosed Rhys with Retcon - apparently easily forgetting that there can be side-effects from the drug -- AND then going to the Hub and having her own little pityparty blubber fest
- after already facing the cyberwoman - she still manages to FREEZE in place when ordered to 'run' thereby placing her colleagues in jeopardy as they have to save her arse again
- blaming Jack when Rhys is killed in the Hub by Bilis Manger - betraying Jack by barely blinking when Owen shoots him point blank in the head and chest
- being stupid enough to allow Capt. John to get out of her sight and to also falling for his tricks for empathy, etc. - sorry but I don't find her 'frozen' with unblinking 'cow-eyes' to be all that enthralling
- playing coy about "why that's an engagement ring that is" as she rubs it in Jack's face and OBVIOUSLY wanting Jack to respond "but I love you and want to marry you and want to bear your children!"
- demanding to know where Jack was when he left at the end of series one as if it is HER right to know
- the sheer number of times she's argued with Jack over his orders, etc. -- while the BIGGEST of these is in Adrift - told to leave something alone - ORDERED to leave it alone she goes ahead and basically ruins a mother's hope and a son's wistful thinking about his mother - and then of course she gets to have her little blubber fest with the ever supportive Rhys
- the list go on and on in regards to Gwen's cock-ups

Of course, any time she is unconscious is good for me. I just wish she could stay that way--for ever.

Any time that Gwen is unconscious is a good Gwen moment for me!

Especially when Jack told her no for her own good, but noooo she has to be all high and mighty and go behind his back because 'she knows best' and all that, only to find what she found and want to undo the past few days but can't because Jack wants to teach her a lesson that she will actually learn!
*can breath now*
+ all the above mentioned ones :D
