I was looking on Facebook and saw a friend of mine had posted a link to an article on the 'Torchwood!' page (who's editor is the biggest Gwen-lover I know) and this is what is says:
Russell T.Davies:
"Perhaps I have one more (Torchwood) story (after Miracle Day).. This will be Gwen's story. Jack's story has now sort of been told - I love Eve & I'd like to learn more about Gwen
Feb, 2011, Roald Dahl Plâs, Cardiff."

What!!?? As though he hasn't made everything about her in the past? I swear, if this actually happens, Torchwood will be completely ruined. It's like he purposefully wants us to hate Torchwood. The only thing I can hope is that, as this was said a couple of years ago, it'll never come into fruition.

Okay, I have the plot. Gwen as one of those horror story villains that gets killed but just keeps popping up again. Yeah, that's the stuff of nightmares all right!

a_silver_story has written some great pieces on RTD, Gwen and the senseless waste that was COE and Miracle Day. Look under RTD in her tags.
This is a good example: http://a-silver-story.livejournal.com/47996.html
And her COE review with more good additions in the comments from her:

Another good piece is this one:
http://a-silver-story.livejournal.com/70491.html
This is a quote of hers from the comments which always strikes me as one of the best explanations of RTD's attitude to Jack and Gwen...
"I think Jack is RTD's sexual fantasy, and Gwen is the woman he secretly wants to be. I did joke a while back about how Gwen was the 'female embodiment of Russell T. Davies', and that's why he works so hard to make her so perfect and to force her onto the audience. I think he's arrogant enough to do that."
Basically, the man is a knob and after the cock up that was MD is never likely to have anything to do with Torchwood again.

It seems Davies has finally come full circle. This is what he wanted from the beginning, wasn't it? A show revolving exclusively around Eve Myles? Was this not the very concept that was originally rejected by the BBC?
All I know is that if he makes it, I won't watch it and I don't know anyone who will. Eve Myles does not have the star power to hold up a series like Torchwood on her own. I hope the BBC have a moment of sanity, and reject it outright. Let it be another Yankee whitewash, if there is an American network stupid enough to make it.
As far as I am concerned, Torchwood died at the end of series 2, and the only things that held me for series 3 were Gareth David-Lloyd and John Barrowman. The one thing that got me through Miracle Whip was knowing the only character left that I had any interest in could not be killed off, and Davies damn near f***ed that up, too.
No, I will not watch any show that intentionally revolves around Gwen Super Trooper Bazooka Cooper.

Anyway, Torchwood is dead, dead, dead, Miracle Crap didn't make it on the "general" market, because it was, simply, a bad example of television. And most of the fans have been alienated by all the change and the behavior of RTD (after the whole Ianto mess many fans left and nice words like: "I need viewers not fans" later didn't help either).
RTD is busy with his cheap Percy Jackson television copy right now, he just promised more tension and drama for the next season, I fear for those poor kids watching it.
