I just had to share this as it made my day... My sister gave me a cd with tons of ebooks on it and said that there was this one that she read and didn't like but thought I might. It was "Into the silence", the TW novel. My sis isn't a sci-fi fan but she was bored so gave it a shot.
Here's what she said...
"It was okay, kinda dull though that guy with the weird spelled name and the Capt guy were kinda cool (Ianto and Jack). But I really didn't like the girl character. There was something about her attitude that made me want to smack her."
When I figured out that she'd read a TW novel I asked her in the girl was called Gwen and she said:
"Yeah, that was the bitch."
So made my day!!! Even non TW fans don't like Gwen!!!

To quote Jane Austen, " It is a truth universally acknowledged - "
That even people who have never met Gwen have the natural intelligence to want to push her off a very tall bridge.

She's always quick to form an opinion on anything. When she told me about the book she said she figured I might like it but she said it in this weird tone and I assured her that the Ianto/Jack moments I liked but not Gwen.
She didn't realize it was TV based but said if the show was like that she'd stick to her True Blood, lol.
