How many times has Gwen got it wrong? Only every time she opened her mouth or did anything. I can't remember a single occasion when she did something helpful, or that any of the other team members couldn't have done faster, better or more efficiently.
Just out of curiosity, you understand, 'cause it is extremely hard to recall Gwen getting something right. What I found was there were some occasions when Gwen didn't screw up a simple task (she googled that Reaper stuff in Dead Man Walking, for instance), or screwed up less than some of the others (Out of Time), and there was that time when she sensed Eugene Jones' spirit - but the only instance of her legitimately being proven right about something useful that I can think of is in End of Days, regarding Jack's resurrection.
Then again, she did have much more time than the rest of the team to get used to his immortality, plus I doubt her staunch belief had as much to do with logic or loyalty than her typical stubbornness when it comes to her desires and wishes. ...Still, might count as one. And very likely only.
About the End of Days bit, true that she was right to believe Jack would resurrect, but damn it - even there she was wrong because it should have been Ianto there with him, snogging Jack back to life!
I wouldn't even mind Gwen sitting with him if a) all of them would have done that (because while Missy Cooper gets to sit and play the weeping widow the rest rebuilds the Hub, gets Torchwood working again) and b) if she hadn't had just lost Rhys AND risked the world to get him back.
RTD always said bringing back Ianto would cheapen CoEs plot, well Gwen's action here are 100 times more cheapening the episode then the resurrection of a Sci-Fi character ever could. It's as if Gwen only loves Rhys when it serves the plot and is wet in her pants for Jack the rest of the time.
Now, people, there is at least one documented time that Gwennie-poo got it right - when she backed off and let Ianto have his dance with Jack at her wedding reception. Too bad she went back to being a blinkered, selfish bitch pretty much straight after.
But she didn't really back off. She thought Ianto wanted to dance with her, she was definitely wrong about that, she was ready and everything and then Ianto went to Jack's arms and she was standing there arms open before she clasped her hands together to act like that was what she meant to do in the first place.
Well, she *was* polite enough to not have a screaming hissie fit when someone cut in when she was dancing with her new husband Jack wanted to dance with his partner.
Not during *her* wedding. Her wedding had to be *perfect*, despite the alien pregnancy, the evil midwife from hell, her mother being held hostage by said alien, the guests having to be Retconned.... Yes, her lack of hissy fit was her being polite (or idiotic, there isn't much of a difference with her).
Forgot about Rhys' friend (did they give him a name?), Banana Boat and Tosh ending up trapped/eaten/almost eaten. We don't know if anyone else ended up like that either so there could have been more victims. Yep, her wedding was definitely *perfect*.

Yeah, just too bad she'll never be able to brag about it to anybody because nobody remembers it. That's about the only saving grace of that ep (barely). Gwen is so insistent about having her wedding, come hell or high water and now *nobody* is going to remember just how good it was.
You forgot Rhys friend who got eaten Ah no sure it wasn't Rhys's friend, it was only the DJ that got eaten. And nobody even noticed his absence with Ianto around.
His name was Malcom I think. And I also think he was at least a friend of one of the bride maids (the one that discovered him after the blowjob that went wrong???)
