Thanks for posting that I noticed it and was just considering posting it here. Don't like the fact they're blaming Jack/Ianto shippers for the Gwen hate as if that's the only reason we don't like her when that's just the tip of the iceburg

That's my youngest son. He was born with black hair. He is now bald! I cut myself off the picture because I looked awful. Dan kept saying I looked fine but I didn't. I have recovered my looks now {that is assuming I had any to recover---mmm}.

I don't really understand why we have to justify Gwen-hate. I don't believe that its only the mass amounts of Janto shippers that hate her either, can't we hate her because she is one of those genuinely dislikable characters? One of the reasons I absolutely can't stand her is the whole "compassionate-heart-of-the-team" crap. She only does so-called compassionate things for selfish reasons(see Adrift), and that has nothing to do with Jack or Ianto. And I still don't understand how she became team leader when Jack left seeing as she had absolutely no experience and Owen was Jack's second anyway. I'm starting to rant, but my point is this, most of the reasons I hate Gwen have nothing to do with Janto. Not all, just most.

I know exactly what you mean. I like Jack/Ianto but I can think of at least half a dozen reasons not to like Gwen that have nothing to do with them.

Reason 1: She's such a Mary-Sue.

only if she died a heroic death, if she died as a consequence of her actions, when she had specifically been told not to do something, or if Rhys recovers those S1 retconned memories, then her death will be well deserved and applauded.
