So, when we thought it wasn't bad enough for poor little Anwen being the spawn of the Teflon Tart, I then found out that Anwen isn't a girl at all! According to Kai Owen (Rhys) at Hub 7, Anwen was actually 2 little twin boys. So, Gwen wanted a girl to mould into her own image but got a boy so started dressing him up in girl's clothes? Sounds like the sort of thing she would do. There's a plot bunny in there somewhere...

You don't think the twins surname was Skywalker do you??

They always use twins when there's a baby in a show, presumably because babies are unpredictable, and they hope that at least one of them would behave.

Of course, the Bulging Eyes of Doom probably have shocked the Jeebus out of both twins and now they are both seriously traumatised.

Actually, twins are used in filming because regulations strictly limit the number of hours children can work, especially infants and toddlers. By using twins, production companies can essentially double the amount of time a child character can be filmed. When they reach the limit for one child, just switch babies and continue filming.

Yup, in the very first scene of Supernatural, when Sam is 6 months old, there where even three babies cast for that. Not sure if they where meant to by triplets, but I remember that Eric Kripke said in the commentary that they didn't even look alike at all.

If ever there were a Gwen true comment "switch babies and continue filming" was it!!
They use twins a lot longer than you would think- and all the young actors in "Oliver" have at least one, often more "doubles" they don't even have to look alike in a stage show, just be the right age and respond to the adult lead well.
But you are right, of course, it is regulations that governs it.
Think back to "Little House on the Prairie" and Lindsay Sidney Greenstreet (?) They were twins billed as a single actor.

Gwen probably wouldn't even notice she was holding a different baby.

D***, I think I just gave myself a plot bunny.

There was a brilliant line in Spitting Image- when Diana had just had William and the baby was lying on the sofa screaming blue murder- Diana looked at the baby with distinct distaste and said to a footman "Neville, change the baby, please" to which he replied, "Certainly Madame" and took the baby away. Two minutes later he was back with the baby, changed, clean and no longer smelling but Diana looked at it with perplexity.
"I thought I told you to change the baby, Neville"
"Yes, Madame, I did"
"But...that's the same baby!!!"

Sounds a little bit like 'Full House'. They choose twins as well because Mary-Kate and Ashley were just 9 months old when they started filming.

A boy forced to behave like a girl because Gwen is a maniac. Now THAT does sound funny.
