My AntiGwen thoughts on 02X11 Adrift
Spoilers for 02X11

Rhys/Gwen: Why didn't they talk about children *before* the wedding?
She was too busy pining after Jack to talk to Rhys about a little thing like children.

PC Andy: Why does every man have to be attracted to Gwen?
Because she's a great person. It's not like she manipulates and bullies people, oh wait, yes she does.

Who's next to be attracted to her, Ianto?
I hope not. I'm still hoping it's Tosh. Gosh is the best shipper name EVER. Not to mention there is always hope that Gwen succumbs to Tosh's every-lover-I-have-dies curse.

Ianto: Why did he give her the information?
My theory is that Ianto was trying to teach her that sometimes Jack keeps secrets for her own good. Just because Gwen thinks she's right doesn't mean that she is (Ianto knows Gwen won't stop until she gets her way). Jack is the leader for A REASON. I think even if Jack had told her, Gwen still would have wanted to 'help'. Weather or not(I'm guessing not) she learns this lesson remains to be seen.

I hope this means that Ianto is the one Jack confides in now. I've always thought that it would be easier for Jack to confide in Ianto (who doesn't push for answers) compared to Gwen (who does).

Where were Owen and Tosh?
I'm guessing hiding behind the ferns in the hothouse.

Did she really think the whole thing with Jonah and his mother would end well?
I course she did. This is Gwen we're talking about *sigh*.

Was it better than random shoes?
I would say so. She finally had to pay for the consequences for her actions, PC Andy makes an appearance, the guest stars did an amazing job, *that* hothouse scene.

So, what did everyone else think?

Someone brought up an interesting question of whether or not Tosh and Owen knew about the hidden patients like Ianto did. I don't think Tosh did, or she would have told Gwen, I think.

Owen, on the other hand....if you watch the boardroom scene again, theres a look that BOTH Ianto and Owen give Jack when he says they don't know where the missing end up. I think Owen knows about it all. It's reasonable to assume that as Torchwood's doctor, he would be involved in the care of the returned missing people as I can't see Jack bringing in doctors from the outside who have no experience in what they deal with due to the rift.

I think Gwen wasn't told before because Jack knew that she would do exactly what she did, go off without thinking and ruin lives. Also, this applies to Tosh as well, there would be no need for them to know. Jack knows because he set it up, Ianto knows because he is more than likely resposible for their logistics as well as TW 3's, Owen knows because he's the doctor. Tosh didn't need to know because, frankly, the place wasn't very high tech, was it? It didn't even look like they had a computer there, and Gwen didn't know because, a) Jack didn't trust her, and b) because it didn't involve her so called area of *snort* 'expertise'. I doubt there was anything sexist about it, Jack, being Captain Cryptic, head of the Secrets Brigade, probably just wanted it kept 'need to know'

Why are all the men attracted to Gwen?

Er--because she is RTD's ideal woman---er--dim, interfering, self centered, useless, opinionated, etc etc---oh--I forgot he hates women---and he thinks making the main female character in a drama series a useless bitch is a great joke--notice how whenever he is interviewed about Torchwood he is on the point of laughing idiotically. Must add that I LOATHE RTD. Sorry if he has any fans----
