So over on another comm, they mentioned that Skaro Outpost had some spoilers for episode 10. Here's a summary of the reviewers remarks. They are not entirely Gwen specific but I think we can have some fun with them.

To summarize:

Reviewer says that this TW isn't going to win any awards because its not as grim as CoE (wat? - were you watching the same show as everyone else?)

Oswald gets some type of redemption (wat? - doesn't this break the 'no cookies for pedos' rule?)

By Episode Ten there is an established Team (referring to Jack & Gwen, because all those other folks who died in earlier seasons weren't really part of the team)

Jack will be in the Dr Who Anniversary Season... so by then we have everyone where we want them to be for the next series of Torchwood - and cleverly RTD has it set up so that even if Starz don't take it, the BBC can. (RTD is giving Jack back to Moffat with visitation rights every other miracle day).

.. but not all of the Torchwood team survive. Even more are changed for ever... with a neat segue into Torchwood Five, should it ever emerge, and the Doctor Who anniversary year. (Wat? I think Jack is leaving again to be with the Doctor - not dead as I thought. And you know Gwen is going to walk away without a scratch.)

Rex & Esther are left in critical condition - but apparently we will know what happens to them (wat? - this makes no sense at all - I think Rex is dead - because he was so wooden, who the hell would know the difference.  )

Dr Who references to Silurians, the Trickster and the Racnoss, two of whom make perfect sense, considering what The Blessing actually is. (wat? - new viewers don't know anything about these or the Doctor, half the old TW watchers weren't Who watchers...and wait, what about the third).

 AND MY FAVORITE:
Are you staying here?" Jack asks Gwen... "Please say no," Rhys begs her. (wat? - are you going back to Cardiff? Of course you are otherwise you'd be a bad mum and  if Jack's leaving why would you stay in the US? Besides, you still have good old long suffering Rhys and PC Andy back in Wales to torment. And Shapiro will not put up with your shit - though I bet by the end that Shapiro will show a grudging respect for her - cause that's how Rusty sees her).

______

So what do you think?

Wait....what? :O I don't understand, okay I'm not watching, because No Mircal Whip for Germany (for now) but I get some clues about it from spoilers...but....what? *confused*

But...didn't Gwen belong in outta space...without a spaceship...spacesuit...helmet(not even a fishbowl!)....air...

I still think Jack is toast. Doctor Who is Sci-Fi after all, even if he dies in Miracle Crap, he can still show up in DW. I also doubt that he will though, that's probably just some fanboy fantasy. JB tried to start his own "Bring Jack back to DW campaign" not two weeks ago, so if Jack is a set character for the anniversary why would he.

I DO NOT WANT Jack to come back to Doctor Who. I've had enough of him.

Perhaps JB is just warming things up to start the "Save Captain Jack" campaign after next week? ;)

Jack will be in the Dr Who Anniversary Season..

Is this comfirmed? are we sure about this? or is this just the reviewer saying that it would fit nicely or that HE CAN'T POSSIBLY SEE JACK NOT THERE or that he's heard if from JB. I'm not buying it until the Moff says it.

I read that review and came to the conclusion that it was epically vague and very much based on the opinion of the writer (yes, I KNOW that's what reviews are, but I felt he was being more objective and informative the last two times) The little added bit was better, but I'm still not completely convinced.

Jack leaving with the Doctor, I could live with, because I don't think that Moffat is as interested in Jack sharing the sheets with someone as he is in Jack the happy-go-lucky guy from the 51st century.

wat? - new viewers don't know anything about these or the Doctor, half the old TW watchers weren't Who watchers...and wait, what about the third.

You said it Girly, Here's what I thought when I read that "boy, the new viewers are going to LOVE this, more wacky confusing aliens in their serious drama. They'll be pleased to know they now need to watch a british kids show to understand it."

Rhys begging Gwen to stay is just pathetic, the man stuck with her no matter how much shit she threw at him, she should be begging him.

I'm not completely convinced that Jack lives to see another day but as long as he stops being a regular in Torchwood, I could live with it. Hell, If they're really unoriginal and throw him back in space again, I'm just going to pretend he'll start looking for Ianto (hello, still trapped on the other end of the rift)

From: [identity profile] kamiandcat.livejournal.com

I'm all for Gwen staying in the USA, Jack heading off to space and Rhys back in Cardiff where he runs into Ianto who has JUST returned from the other end of the universe. After listening to Ghost Train I'm all for teaming up Rhys and Ianto. They can have John Hart, too. He could have been the one who got Ianto back to Cardiff or something. They can hire Rhiannon to babysit Anwen.....

From: [identity profile] satanassa.livejournal.com

Well JB old chap, don't count on me for your campaign. A hammy actor like you is not welcome on my screen.

From: [identity profile] stlscape.livejournal.com

if Jack's leaving why would you stay in the US?

Wait. She's BACK in the US...AGAIN!!!! After blowing up British bits and being deported BOTH the UK and US authorities let her travel wherever she wants?????? Oh. Right. She's Gwen. Sorry - I was thinking logically there. I'll try to stop.

From: [identity profile] woani21.livejournal.com

Wait...what? Can someone please explain to me how any of that relates to anything that has happened so far in this pile of shit series?
They well and truly must be pulling this whole thing right out of their asses.
I move that we all push our Congressmen, parliamentary representatives, or the political leadership of our respective nations to have the producers, writers, and network executive responsible for Miracle Day forcibly sterilized, because this has all taught me one thing; there are some kind of stupid that cannot be fixed and if we allow these people to reproduce we would likely be damaging the collective gene pool of our entire species.

Can I ask what is "the big sacrifice" they blabber about then? Seeing as no one is going to die, not Gwen (obviously), not Rhys, not the child, not Jack, not even dead.since.ep.1 Rex, not whatshername?

What, they used the "everyone dies in Torchwood" bullshit excuse too much to justify the unjustifiable death of Ianto and now they cannot use the same BS anymore???

Either they kill off *each and everyone no one left standing* now or they bring back Ianto, otherwise their credibility is so down the toilet that it's sinking faster than their writing skill.

From: [identity profile] littleatem.livejournal.com

Imho, I figure "the big sacrifice" is going to be Oswald. Since RTD refuses to harm/traumatize his Mary Sue after her father's demise (he is dead, right?). He's no longer allowed to kill her (Gwennie), her family (Rhys and the baby), her love interest (Jack... sorry Jack), or her 'colleagues' (Ester and Rex, who are already one foot on deaths door). He's only got a few options now, the entire world, Sharpie man, or Oswald. He also needs it to be uber important due to the episode title, so Oswald it is!

Rex will end up immortal.

Ladies and Gentlemen WE are the one making the big sacrifice, it's the hair will pull off our heads in frustration over that!

From: [identity profile] mscatmoon.livejournal.com

If that's true... wow, they're really replacing Jack totally, aren't they? First Gwen replaces him as the star and hero of the show, now Rex can't die? No wonder JB wants back on Who. I have no sympathy for him though, he agreed to appear in this garbage (that did nothing good for the popularity of a character he said he loves playing).

IT'S NOT GOING TO BE JACK?! I am going to giggle so badly if he ends up dead. If he doesn't end up dead, then he'll die in the next season...because that's what Torchwood does.

I still don't think that Jack will be in the next season, especially not if Rex will become the immortal around there. Looks like Starz was sorta going like, well we like the immortal slut, but can he be played by mekhi phifer, because we paid a lot for him.

High fives for me for predicting Rex would become immortal, high fives for RTD on making the least popular character permanent.

If I would've earned a penny everytime someone said 'Rex had better die at the end of this shit' I'd be a rich rich bitch now.

How about some SERIOUS spoilers, not just speculation?

Reveal the pictures. The one of Jack and Gwen post-explosion says tons, plus it should make folks here rather happy at just how bedraggled Gwen looks :)

But yeah, check out Jack's chest.
