As far as I'm aware, there's only been one letter so far in the Radio Times (THE BBC listings magazine), which is rather odd for a new series. Anyway, it's rather amusing, so I thought I'd copy it out for those of you who don't buy RT:
'Hysterical Torchwood
My wife and I watch a lot of drama on TV. We don't watch much comedy because we find most of it isn't all that funny. However the first episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day (14th July BBC1) was absolutely hilarious. We rocked with laughter as we watched the CIA guy doing his Long John Silver impression at the hospital. Just a thought, but it would have looked even more authentic with a stuffed parrot on his shoulder.
This is comedy as it should be, BBC. Let's have more of it.'
Now, I'm suspecting this isn't quite the reaction that STARZ, the BBC and Rusty were looking for! Another odd thing is that I watched the first episode and it was obviously so gripping that I hardly recall this scene- or much else for that matter!

No, I very much doubt this is going to make anyone's day. I haven't seen the show myself, but having a Captain Morgan moment would have been hilarious.
I might have actually watched for that! LOL!

I don't know what scene he is talking about, I can't remember much of those episodes I've watched.

But so far it has been pretty ordinary and there is no spark i it. I am pining for the old TW and I have to say that I think it is perhaps a good thing that Gareth is not involved in this crap.

That's the conclusion I've come to as well. Now, I would love to have Ianto back in Torchwood, but not this Torchwood and not as long as RTD is still in charge of it.

I agree with madbottoms, Gareth is well away from this crap.

But fucked if I know, I've only watched the trailers and read the spoilers. It wonderous what you remember when you've only seen five minutes of a show.

I know, his sychopants would say here that we ought to prove that we can write better, but:
a) We actually can write better; I crafted better plots (with less holes) at the aga of 12, and
b) You don't have to be capable of laying an egg to tell when one has gone bad, now have you?
Edited cos my grammar sucks.
