I was just looking at some reviews for Miracle Day. I found several that were so pro-Miracle Day it made me nauseous. What I didn't get was some interview with Myles where she said that Jack and Gwen were 2 missing parts of a jigsaw. What does that mean? Is that some Welsh thing?
She also said "They have an extraordinary relationship," says Myles. "They have a love-hate-love relationship, they have a brother and sister relationship. They have husband and wife relationship. They have the best friendship known to mankind. They're the two missing parts of a jigsaw, and when you find them, they'll always be together. It's a sensational soul-mate relationship, and there's no label for it."
To me she didn't make sense at all.
Another question I have is the big hoopla over the new people. Apparently Rex is dying from the very beginning of the show since he was impaled but still lives with a gaping wound that oozes. So that's just telling me that I shouldn't get interested in the new cast because they are all red shirts.

She's Jacks wife/sister/BBF...why not mother, daughter and holy ghost, too? I hated that Alonzo scene in DW, but right now I have the huge urge to go and look it up on YT and to start shipping them only to stop myself form seeing my breakfast again.

Eve Myles sounds like she has her head so far up her arse she can probably see daylight from both ends. I try really hard to contain my hate just for the character and not the real person, but it's really, really difficult when the real person sounds like a consummate git.
The more I read about Miracle Whip the more I am sure I will need to have a bucket to hand when I finally watch it.

if you really want to watch it please do it without giving them ratings.
And yes, it is AWFUL. In other words it really sucks.

Anyhow, I posted that my brother in law didn't like Torchwood Miracle Crap and mentioned the baby and someone commented that at least Gwen put ear muffs on her. So that's OK then. If you fire huge guns while holding your small baby all you have to do to protect her is put furry ear muffs on her.

Best friendship known to mankind? How fucking far up her own ass is she? that's like calling Edward and Bella the best love story evah!
They're the two missing parts of a jigsaw, and when you find them, they'll always be together.
This, ofcourse is why Jack left at the end of CoE, why he retconned her in everything changes and why he ran away with the doctor. I also distinctly remember him looking AT ianto when he said he'd came back for him, but I guess EM didn't get that memo.
friggin little slash signs!!!

I also saw a guy, who after shoving three people in his car, stood grinning like a loon at his accomplice proud of shooting down a helicopter, which has at least two residents who CAN'T DIE. Oh, and there was that lovely scene where Gwen is japping about IDK (wasn't really listening) rebuilding Torchwood and Jack is not even remotely interested in anything but a scrape on his arm...dude, wouldn't you have noticed it on your flight to the UK or at least on the way to the plass...My intrepetation, he was so bored he decided to check out that itch on his arm that wouldn't go away.
Great friendship guys...Kudos to RTD for putting it on screen like he's advertising it.

I can't for the life of me understand why Davies is so infatuated with Eve and this character he's created.

Silly! It's because she says exactly what he wants to hear: he's the best thing since sliced bread, and he's showing you on the screen everything he tells you you in intervies you should be seeing on the screen.

Also, a husband-and-wife relationship is completely different from a brother-sister relationship. At least, it should be different!
Seriously Eve, you're sounding like a clueless berk.

He doesn't think Jack would love er like a lover. As it was mentioned a few posts ago here. xD
So Eve-Pevie...No Gwack, no relationship like wife and husband. Let go of him, he just the comic relif and your to much drama!
Comic-Relif and Drama does not fit. Comic Relife stays by Comic relif. End of story :3
She always stupid things like that, eh? O_o
Jigsaw...maybe we shpud send Gwen to Jigsaw....

I wonder though – where we can see the evidence of such strong, ultimate connection? I’d think that soul mate link like this would be hard to miss. So, where we can see that Jack and Gwen are this special to each other, that their love is so deep and pure that words fail to describe it, that they are everything to each other? And another question – why she thinks that Gwen is the only one that Jack has/had such “connection” with?
I mean – how they can be BFF if Gwen never said a kind word to Jack, never supported him or shown him respect? All she ever did is taking, as if she is entitled to Jack constant saving her life, putting her before the team, showing her special treatment etc. - without one word of gratitude from her.
To be honest, Eve’ words look very much like wishful thinking. They are so out of tune with reality it’s almost scary.

I know what you mean. Maybe someone should explain to her that if the connection were really there, there would be no need to talk about it all the time.

Oh, I know. She's never even shown any convidence in him as a leader, let alone treat him like a friend. The, "So you do have a heart," in that unbelieving tone of voice in the episode "Meat" is a prime example of just how much they're not friends.

I'd like a side of continuity with that ham sandwich, please. Oh, and will you make up your mind once and for all before you make that sandwich? Thanks. (Don't expect it to *ever* happen, folks.)
I watched Barrowman's eyes in his video interviews where he's talking about TWMD. There's no sparkle there - he's just saying the words, he doesn't really mean them. I took that as an indicator of what I should expect from MD.

No, Eve. Gwen has a love-hate-lust relationship.
No, Eve. That's NOT a brother-sister relationship.
No, Eve. That's NOT a husband-wife relationship.
No, Eve. They have the best friendship known to Rusty and his Believers.
I'll give you the jigsaw pieces, but most jigsaws (except those for the VERY infantile) have more than two pieces, so the "always together" bit? Not so much, Eve.
No, Eve. Soul-mate relationship? I do not think these words mean what you think they mean.
Yes, Eve! (Finally! You *finally* got it right!) There is no label for it!
If I *had* to come up with a label, I'd choose avuncular on Jack's part, and creatively imaginary on Gwen's.

She's not only denying Jack/Ianto like in spades, she's denying Jack's friendship with Tosh and even with Owen, who were at least there with Jack long before she arrived.
She's denying Jack's love for Estelle, or for his wife, or above all for his daughter and grandson.
She's denying Jack's relationship with Rose and with the Doctor.
Nope, dear Eve, the only one who only matters it's clearly you and your annoying stupid inane character.

So, let me put it straight: they are an incestuous pair of siblings who hate each other but can't stop pining after each other? I know my English isn't perfect, but this really doesn't make any sense!

But honestly, the brother-sister thing kind of makes sense to me. I have been wondering why Jack would put up with Gwen and her flaws, but if he saw her as some kind of annoying little sister, somebody he can't get rid of and feels obligated to defend even knowing that they are wrong, and that they give him attitude, it would explain why he hasn't retconed her yet.
