Sorry for people getting it twice, but I thought you guys might want to see this.

So, true to RTD and Torchwood form, they're bringing Ianto back yet again in a new series of radio plays set before CoE, starring John, Gareth and Eve. I've taken this straight from the BBC press-office website:

'Afternoon Play – Torchwood: The Lost Files Ep 1/3

Monday 11 to Wednesday 13 July
2.15-3.00pm BBC RADIO 4
An alien with an aversion to electricity threatens to take Earth back to the dark ages in this new Torchwood radio drama by Rupert Laight, starring John Barrowman, Eve Myles and Gareth David-Lloyd.

In the first of three Torchwood stories, when Rhys's elderly Uncle Bryn has a heart attack while listening to the shipping forecast, it seems like another routine death at Ivyday Nursing Home. Until Gwen's suspicions are roused by another elderly resident...

In Tuesday's story, by Ryan Scott, a distress signal lures Jack, Gwen and Ianto to the deepest part of the ocean – the Mariana Trench – and they find themselves trapped with a hungry alien.

In Wednesday's Torchwood, it's the last night at the House Of The Dead, the most haunted pub in Wales, and Mrs Wintergreen is holding a seance. Then the ghosts start arriving, and all hell breaks loose.'

As true as ever, it seems that the BBC are bringing out Torchwood's most popular character, AGAIN, even though we've heard numerous times there's no chance of him ever coming back. Ever. No, really.

I'm not saying I'm not looking forward to it, don't get me wrong, I can't wait! But uh... anyone see a pattern emerging? Maybe the Beeb are finally getting it...

EDIT FOR AGA: Let's hope this doesn't end up to be some sort of Gwen-fest -.- I agree with one of the comments made on JackxIanto.... I hope Ianto isn't just there to ask stupid questions.

Hey, that second one, trapped with a hungry alien; are they FINALLY acknowledging the Teflon Tart's true nature? They get trapped, she reveals herself as a ravening alien, and they heroically put her down for all of our sakes.

And as to the first one...superSlut realizes there is a problem in the nursing home, not the trained nurses who would know their residents medical histories inside and out, her insideous influence is spreading beyond the confines of the Torchwood institute, she becomes the uber professional, and everyone else is just the drooling idiot, there to worship wide eyed at the altar of her 'professionalism and compassion'.

Wow, as if I needed a reminder that there was one more reason NEVER to listen to the radio.

"The House of the Dead" is written by James Goss, who also wrote "Almost Perfect" and "Risk Assessment", and the other audio "Golden Age", so I actually have a little hope for that one...

Has he been watching Ghosts Hunter International? XD
And ghosts have what to do with aliens...unless they are alien ghosts?

Yeah, the first one definitely looks like something to pass on -- I can see it's going to have too much Gwen for my taste (er, any Gwen is too much for that matter). Hoping against hope the other two are more team oriented. So now they're trying to sell us on Gwen by throwing Ianto in on the deal. Like the two most recent novels that were set pre-COE, but I never bothered to get them because the synopsis seemed very Gwen/Rhys focused (I like Rhys but unfortunately he's a package deal with Gwen).
