Is that genuine shock on Jack's face? Like, you know, facing a nightmare in XXL-format? Is that why his hair stands on the edge?

I thought he looked mad too. A bit like he's thinking "You're so lucky I don't hit women!"

Please note the defensive arm position and paperwork, with additional frown, not the body language of a swooning male!

He actually does look like he's thinking, "You B--CH!" That is not the body language of a man pining for his 'unstated love'. It's more like the body language of a man wishing looks could kill for real.

It can't be helped, really. After all, actor has to ACT sometimes, but how anyone can act when faced with awesomeness of Gwen Cooper?

It makes me incredibly sad that our Jack, hero Jack, has to look at Gwen like she is his answer to everything. I kind of understand why he fails to portray the depth of his "admiration" and "longing". I'd say he thinks something along the lines: "Who is this woman and what I am doing here?"

Why does Jack look so miserable in all the press shots they've released so far?

The picture is so awful, my computer won't show it to me. I saw it earlier and my internet service decided once was enough.

Jack was probably looking at old CCTV footage of him and Ianto and Gwen decided to Skype him. Hence the pissed off look on his face.

I was looking at this when my 3 year old leaned over and said "Look, Mama, there's a fan", which me, being me, and being nearly 7 months pregnant thought was hilarious.

John looks fatter here and seriously pissed off.

"Kummerspeck", as you'll doubtlessly know what I mean. You need a great amount of comfort food to get through Miracle Crap, I guess.

Ah, that explains his middle bulge then. I am huge actually, but I have an excuse which is going to be called Octavia Adina.

Jack's alien hair is about to lunge at Gwen, but he's restraining it mentally because it's just a picture. If Gwen was actually there, that hair would viciously attack and smother her, you can see it's ready to pounce! *nods*

The hair has spoken. And it says, "you stole my show, you biach!"

I was reading this and Dan wondered why I was laughing. It's the idea of Jack's hair having a life of its own. It would make a great scene to watch. The hair flies off Jack's head and wraps itself around Gwen's neck. She sinks to the ground groaning and gasping and on the death certificate it says:

Cause of death----Hair Attach.

Sorry for that got a bit carried away there----

There was a whole thing going on a DW forum a while back during David Tennant's tennacy (ha!) about DW's hair having a life of it's own and going off and getting drunk in bars and sleeping with fur stoles because it got so depressed......

See, now, this is where I find fanfiction and a good imagination to be a valuable asset. I don't see Jack wallowing in unrequited love over Gwen in this shot. I prefer to see him as contemplating the most effective means of killing her off, so that everyone she's sucked into the black hole of her infernal existence can finally be free to go on with their lives - Jack, most of all.

I wish I didn't have so many unfinished stories. Then perhaps I could find the energy to write a new Wishverse episode. "Out of Time" would be coming up, with excellent possibilities...
