MY LAST FANVID! I tried uploading one before but dear old Auntie Beeb banned it - getting too close again was I??? Are they trying to eradicate Ianto from the Torchwood annals?  [Honestly Captain... I said... annals... not...!!!]

Captain Jack Harkness and his beautiful Welshman, Ianto Jones... just maybe ... maybe... sometime in the future Ianto will return to Jack!

The BBC shouldn't be doing that, if they are the 'fair' organisation they profess to be; it sounds like it goes against the Trade's Descriptions Act. I think it might be grounds for complaining to them if you are so minded. It smacks of repression, they seem to be denying one person, who's view is as valid as anyone's, the right to hold and express their opinion an that's not in keeping with the way they present themselves. As long as the videos acknowledge that the BBC holds copyright to the clips used, then they can't complain too much. They should either live and let live, or just ban all non-official material altogether (which I am not in favour of as it would be another issue with the way they present themselves, restriction of fan rights/liberties and completely impossible to enforce, much like Antix's apparent ban on Most Haunted fanfic)

Sorry, that turned into an essay, it's something I do a lot with my Asperger's, but you get my point.

I am not sure the Beeb have ever been a fair organisation they are far too inbred in their ways for that! You see they go after me because I speak out against the way RTD handled Torchwood and they don't take criticism very well! And now I have started this sort of campaign against him for using a paedophile as a main character who gets away with it... by the end of it ... they are really really really not going to like me!

And you are a fellow Brightonian and you like Nathaniel Parker... did you get to see him when he came to the Theatre Royal?? Haven't a clue what the play was about... just kept my eyes on him!! ;)

I think the BBC claim to be fair and equal, but most of their presenters are middle-class white men; even Rusty The Davros is an Oxford-educated man. They didn't reprimand him for his "nine hysterical women" with "special needs" who can "go and watch Supernatural if [we] can't handle drama!" comments. When I told them that by doing nothing about his behaviour they would seem to be not only accepting his behaviour but condoning it; they were quick to distance themselves from it, but only to me, not on a public platform. So they still have the association with the man who has a reputation he did nothing to deserve's ill-informed opinions. Sorry, another rant there. [sheepish]

XD Alas no, I couldn't get tickets; I was mightily pissed off when I couldn't. He's a lovely man and a great actor, and I would have liked to see him perform live. He'll have to come back sometime. *Hint* I'm lad you were able to see him, though. (^_^)
