Misleading marketing. Again.

This has appeared recently on Amazon, and look who's the one pushed up front and central on the cover:

As of now, there are two customer reviews left (and some comments from Gwen fanboys!), one is positive and the other (by Becca) points out how the whole thing is misleading, from the package that makes Gwen appear as she were the main character and the actual leader of Torchwood to the title "Torchwood: The Complete Original UK Series" as they bundled together S1 and S2 with CoE.

If you please, leave comments to the dvd pages even if only in the form of a vote for 'most helpful review' to the one that Becca wrote: it says the truth, this is misleading marketing and false propaganda in the wake of Gwenwood.

Also, I remind you that it is possible to name and vote for tags on the Amazon goods: seems like 'Gwenwood' is already there ;)

It says "As seen on BBC America"... hmm, makes me think then, does that mean it is the 'censored' version, the one with the pixelated Jack's arse and with the verbal insults (the 'taking it up the ass' and the Filipino racist joke, etc.) removed?

Gwen a racist! I always forget that fail of hers. It astounds me that - no one but we horrible members of AGA ever bring this up.

I'm sure its just there to show 'the reality' of life in the UK. At least that's been the explanation for Johnny's comments. My response, well yeah, but I don't like racists even if they can fire BMF guns.

That cover is poorly photoshoped. They could have done a much better job, like leave Gwen out completly.

The cover is just dire- and not just because of Gwen in the centre! I've just had a look at my box sets for the first 2 series and they'd be better off with NO photos! It's like someone picked the worst photos available and just cobbled them together.
I haven't commented on Amazon, because I've never even bought anything from them, never mind made a comment or given a review. Also, I really don't think the Gwen fans and other viewers who were new to TW with CoE understand my dismay at the way the series changed- it was never just about Gwen (or Ianto's death, or Tosh's or Owen's)- it was about the way they ruined a perfectly 'good', fun series with Aliens, dinosaurs and set in Wales, and turned it into a mini series with NO flying kebabs.
But- yes. I didn't really expect anything more from a re-issue of TW into one boxed set. It makes me all rather sad.

I found it funny that in the Product Details it has Actors: John Barrowman, Kai Owen, Gareth David-Lloyd, Burn Gorman. But no Eve Myles. Nothing against Eve, she's an awesome actress, but it seems Gwen maybe front-and-center, but her actress doesn't make the cut to the actors line. In fact, Eve's information is nowhere on the page. Just pointing that out.

i have left my reviews and threw a grenade at the saint gwen crowd(polite i was) and noticed that there was no mention of eve. they seem stuck at under 3 stars.
