Starz has released a list of the episode titles for the upcoming Gwen-fest.
I know it's too much to really hope for, but I'd like to imagine that "Episode 8: The End of the Road" will see beloved Gwennie-poo, Super Trooper of Torchwood, done away with once and for all.
Maybe at some point throughout the previous episodes she suffers what would ordinarily be a fatal wound, but because of whatever's going on, she doesn't die. Naturally, she would think this is because the universe has finally come to its senses and seen fit to grant her immortality so that she can be with her soul mate Jack for all eternity.
Jack realises that when everything is fixed, poor darling Gwen will be condemned to die along with every other person in the world who should be dead but isn't. He's devastated, but then what would life be without a sacrifice or two? He killed his own grandson, after all - things could be worse, right?
So at the end of it all, he decides to retcon Rex whats-his-name and the chick side-kick; he and Rhys hold a small but heartfelt funeral for their one-true love before deciding to rebuild Torchwood together...
A bit much, do you think...? Hmm?
(You might notice I'm in a slightly sarcastic mood)

I predict that Jack will cease to be immortal when everyone else becomes immortal and he'll die at the end of the season, and everyone involved will say watch the next season to see if he is reincarnated.

I thought at first it was me being daft as I get a bit vacant at times when I'm pregnant.

=)) That's how RTD thinks, probably, too.
Yeah, no way they kill her off, Gwen's more immortal than Jack, and besides, heavens forbid they do something the fans would actually like. =P

at night before the babies of torchwood go to sleep uncle andy tells them the scary story of the witch named gwen who had come to suck the joy out of the world. andy is married to emma who works with ianto and learns to make killer coffee. then jack gives his blessing for a new front for torchwood in which ianto and emma will open "coffee king" stores. the public rejects starbecks and jack/ianto/torchwood team/coffee go on to save the world while serving the best coffee ever.
hey, it could happen.

This is what needs to happen. Seriously.

Nope just a fragment of a nightmare she still here :( --- Although that said with RTD gone maybe in some future series, she really weill be dead and gone.

My guess is that it's going to be Jack who bites the dust and BOOM no more connection to the whoverse, RTD finally got what he wanted: Excalibur. Of course, right about now, I will be happily waving Jack off to fanfics, seeing as how his character was abused plenty since season 2.
Whatever happens, I'll read up on it on Wikipedia. Not worth watching, just like most of RTD's crap (no, I did not watch 9 and 10, just a few eps here and there, why do you ask? :p)

I said that earlier in this thread, it's nice to know someone thinks the same.

And I will be doing that too!!! Def not wasting my $$ on Starz just for Gwenwood. I need that $$ for better things in life... coffee, ice cream, books...

to all who enjoyed my torchwood rewrite i say "thank you" to all now if rusty would give me the show.lol

Alas, I don't believe we are that lucky. My best guess is that he's going to be in one of the radio play thingies to milk out some more money for the franchise. Or just some short flashback Gwen has of him....

Ianto who?? Not likely I don't think. I doubt she still remembers any of her co-wokers names. After all, they are dead and gone and Super Gwen has many exciting adventures ahead of her in her longlonglong life. Saving the world and all that.

I don't think they'll do that...or maybe my mind is just not ready to process such a thought. RTD has made it abundantly clear that immortality = suffering and heaven forbid that Gwen suffers. Besides a series about two immortals screwing each others brains off would really cut on the DRAMA!!! and REALISM!!! of the show.

Cuz saint gwennie becuming imortal to staw with her TWU WUB (=jack) IS realism!!!!! Poor dear, shes sufered from her horrible, horrible husband for years, while pinning away for her TWU WUB, stupid jack, he repsected her horrible, horrible marriage, isntead of saving her from rys who's a big meanie, but now that rys will be kiled of, they can be together forever and there love will never end!
(Sorry, this is as much fanpoodle yipping as I can produce. The mere effort gave me a headache.)
I really hope they'll kill of the sorry caricature that Jack has become, so that real!Jack and Ianto can live on in fanfic, forever.

yep, caricature, that's a good word for it, since, and I am just going to repeat it because apparently I am not allowed to comment more than three times before it becomes spam....
Jack, my dear friends, is no longer omnisexual, nor is he bisexual. As JB put it: "people might look at this series and see that jack is not bisexual, he's really gay in this series."
Goodbye high defining character trait, Hello caricature. Gone is the character who could just love everybody, now he is 'that guy who sleeps with guys' he doesn't even has immortality anymore. I don't mind gay-characters, but this is a pretty big thing. you know.
still, no Gwack

I REALLY hope that Jack wises up and relizes that Gwennie poo is SO not the Heart & Soul he once thought... And that Rhys gets what's coming to him: a relationship with someone who respects and loves him and only him!
((I feel better now...))

But hey, if we don't like it, we can just turn it off and switch to another channel! Thank you JB for explaining the miracles of my remote control.
