1) The doe-eyes every five seconds.
2) Her attitude to Tosh in ep 7, sorry love but you aint all that. Tosh has class, Gwen common as muck. Enough said on that matter.
3) Her dismissive attitude to Ianto, but what was she doing in the very first ep, yes thats right she was the tea-boy! and effectively doing something similar to Ianto's job (even in a police uniform). And if she took off like that in the real world she would have been fired from her old job.
4) No common sense and too moral, along with her whinging when it doesn't go her way.
5) TOO much screen time. (re that disaterous waste of an episode that was all her.)
6) In my opinon: a very bad, cheap quickly knocked together version of Rose (not to mention older); the 'newbie' coming in full of wide eyed wonder but did her character develope? Nope, you've guessed it- stayed exactly the same all the way through.
7) Demands to know everything and anything about peoples business; i'd gladly slap her one.
8) Her ridiculous unreciprocated infatuation with Jack.
9) The only thing where Rhys is concerned is that she retconned him after telling him, have some balls woman!
10) Incredibly selfish, immature and full of herself... I could go on.
Who agrees that it would have been A LOT better if they had Ianto as the lead/newcomer in S1? He has the connections to Dr.Who eps (mmm like Jack), more charater development and better character all together over the episodes, and a better character to bond with Jack over the events prior to T.Wood. And it just makes more sense.
The writers sorely over-estimated the liking factor when it comes to Gwen the Slag. If you knew someone like her in your own life i bet you wouldn't know her for long.
There we go, for now...

My partner when he's trying to piss me off says she's a profiler, but a) how do you profile an alien and b) don't profilers have to have major training in something other than tea making, and c) she's supposed to keep Torchwood grounded or something yet all she's managed to do is belittle everyone around her.

I certainly don't relate to her.
