Every time someone talks about Gwack UST I just don't see it; at least from Jack's side. If anything, Jack loves Gwen like a father loves a child. She does seem very childish.

'So the more they go on with those cow-eyed, WTF? Gwack looks the more I'm convinced the Gwack ship has no Jack in it. Just Gwen sailing in circles all by her self.'... hahaha.

Gwen's engagement comes as something of a shock to Jack when he returns in KKBB, but that only serves to heighten the sexual tension between the pair that was touched upon in series one.

"Yes there is a stronger element of that this year" says Eve, "but having that kind of spark every now and then just serves to make the drama better. It's sexy, precisely because people want them to get together. If they did it would spoil it."

Thought if you hadn't seen this you might like to read it. I don't know who these people are that want Jack/Gwen as I haven't met any yet and I know quite a few people who watch Torchwood.
As for the often repeated statement in Torchwood that Gwen is beautiful, they obviously haven't watched the program in HD. She is actually quite ordinary looking, even what my next door neighbor would call plain. In the last episode I saw when she was supposed to be sad about something she actually looked ugly on my TV. {Which is admittedly very large}.

Firstly I almost bought that magazine but because there was sooo much of her and so little of what we wanted I didn't get it and secondly my partner who actually likes her doesn't even think she's pretty let alone beautiful.

I think we need to take up a collection to purchase a pair of tickets (one-way) on the CLUE TRAIN for Chris Chibnall and Eve Myles in regards to the supposed UST between Gwen and Jack. Chibnall was the one that kept repeating last series that there was a sexual tension and attraction between the two and Eve apparently buys the whole thing -- one big issue I have is that so far every time it is SUPPOSED to be attraction/tension between Jack and Gwen I get the distinct impression that even JOHN is NOT buying it - he's performances in those bits with her are coming across as very stilted

as for Gwen ... let's just say not only is she immature, she's totally selfish, totally sanctimonious, totally ignorant, totally oblivious to the feelings of those around her, totally incompetent as a police officer much less as a member of Torchwood - there were so many times in series one I wanted to slap her upside the head or push her off a cliff and I was hoping things would be better this series but frankly I hate her even more now - cause she's become actively cruel to Jack and it was bad enough how she treated him in series one but this time? he needs to fire her ass and retcon her and Rhys
