Huh....I actually found her hair to be ordinary.....nothing really spectacular about it.

Oh I agree it's just I found it hilarious that they couldn't seem to find anything better than 'bouncy hair'

Same here.....I was sitting there thinking they couldn't be serious if that was ALL that was redeemable about the character.

Note, having nothing against Eve Myles as an actress....I think she had the misfortune to get saddled with a crap character.

But Eve doesn't think she's been saddled with a crap character does she? She thinks Gwen is brave and has said she admires her and wishes she was more like her??? This doesn't actually make me feel any fondness for Eve as an actress. As for being able to scream and cry on cue--my 18th Month old can do that. Just take some toy off him and he can scream with the best and produce heaps of tears too and the quivering lower lip. In fact, now I think about it he has actually more talent than anyone on Torchwood because he knows words in three languages {German, English and Polish} as do my other two kids. Whats more, my 13 year old is about to get his black belt in Karate.
Actually, my family would be great at getting rid of aliens. I could talk them into a state of semi-consciousness, Dan could sing to them {he has a terrible voice}, Anna-Louise could play her violin to them while Rhys screamed, and then, Harry could throw them over his shoulder a few times. They'd probably run away then, we wouldn't even need to kill them.

I just kept wishing she'd tie it back out of her face when she's working.
Ah well, maybe an alien will grab her by the hair and drag her off, never to be seen again and Jack will be sighing ruefully and saying "I told her to wear a pony tail"

I just left a long piece on the above mentioned site explaining why I hate Gwen, so am expecting to be moaned at any moment. I noticed the hair thing. I never actually thought about her hair at all, I must admit.
It also struck me as funny that the only thing they could think of to say in a discussion of her CHARACTER was they loved her hair!!!! One person even said they liked the gap in her teeth because they had one like it!!! So going by that logic {?} I am supposed to like any character on TV with curly hair because I have curly hair!!! Or anyone blond, or everyone wih blue eyes, etc etc!!! Or anyone German!!!

When I read that post, I found it very funny that the only thing they could find good about Gwen was her hair. Call me old fashion, but I prefer characters who are *more* then just nice hair. Mary-Sues always have nice hair, but do we like them?
