Anyone else think that Jack/Gwen fans are, just a small bit, er, weird. Accidentally came across the following on YouTube ---

---- A video about how much Jack loves Gwen and he will always be there for her no matter what. Jack knows that he can't live without her---- and this---- Jack and Gwen are a perfectly happy married couple despite everything they have to withstand. They love each other no matter what happens. Just a happy vid to show the love they have for each other from the first time they met.

Just wanted to post this as I am now so huge I am practically stationery. I am obviously going to give birth to 3 Elephants.

elephants > sharks

Baby elephants are cute, but Did You Know? Sharks sometimes eat their way out of the womb, the ones where the eggs hatch inside.

...or so I heard from this crack mpreg Kisame/Itachi fic somebody wrote.

Re: elephants > sharks

Augh... now I got this weird "Breaking Dawn" flashback from the shark comment. Bad memories since I love the Edward/Bella (and Twilight in general) as much as I love the Jack/Gwen pairing.

Both fan groups are about the same in mentality, in one opinion, and creepy as all get out. (Now I need to go squee-gee my brain out with some merlot...)

It's all very odd. I've only met 2 people (men- so I get very confused when I see WOMEN{usually about 16 yrs old- apparently it's all about wish-fulfilment and self inserting into stories} writing fanfiction of this type) who like Gwen. One didn't even know what was going on in TW, just fancied her. The other 'conveniently' had forgotten the infidelity, incompetance etc etc.
Well, I felt any 'UST' between Jack and Gwen was just hackneyed, so I was pleased that TW was going down a different road ie hero gets the BOY. But to ignore the storylines and go for writing/posting videos promotin Jack and Gwen just seems weird...Perhaps I'll never understand...
PS I don't have kids, but I don't envy you your stationary state and the immense amount of work ahead...you must be a glutton for punishment!

Did they use the kiss from "Something Borrowed"?

Like, the one where Gwen was actually kissing the Nostrovite? If so, maybe the fan in question is really shipping Nostrovite/Gwen? Ah, to be a teenage girl and not be able to be so forward about one's perversity again, I can sympathize.

Nostrovite/Gwen! For those who outgrew their neutered vampire phrase, but find Rotting Zombies too much...an alien that actually consumes the flesh and can shapeshift into any pretty you want is just the way to go! (Like, did you hear about that consensual cannibalism case in Germany? Oh Germany...I can't remember if it's the eater or the eaten who posted the ad, but the ad was posted, it was answered, and it was done.)

Re: Did they use the kiss from "Something Borrowed"?

...and by phrase, I of course, really meant phase.

...but really, the Nostrovites were scary, like, Mystique Zombie scary. Scarier than the Futurekind (http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Futurekind), which are a subspecies from the humans who have evolved to hunt humans after food sources dwindled, and looking Just Like Us except for the sharp fangs and a hissing voice. Talk about paranoia!

I'm quite convince that the Nostrovites enjoy being assholes, like, think about it, if they can shapeshift, than they don't have to eat people, they can use their shapeshifting skillz to blend in, and just, steal food or whatever, cause humans aren't the only ones with meat eh? Come to think of it, Nostrovites aren't strictly cannibals...

...and why did that Nostrovite kissed Gwen instead of just ripping out the baby? Asshole again. ...and ha, I bet in some universe out there, where Gwen slipped Nostrovite!Jack tongue...it will be like that awesome gruesome scene in Kill Bill.

What's with Gwen and putting delicate bits of her face near cannibals?

And Gwen fans come by their delusions naturally; Eve Myles still believes that everyone wants to see Jack and Gwen together.

Eve Myles also apparently believes the Gwen is the Saviour of the Universe and Jack and Ianto just the comic relief. Someone truly needs to tell her that drinking the RTD Koolaid is probably something that should be avoided during pregnancy...

Gwen is the saviour of the universe.

She has the superpower of subliminal suggestions when she manipulates everybody into not harming her even though they are under orders like the soldiers in day five in CoE.

She is also superb in not feeling any remorse for her mistakes and selfish decisions even though it cost lives as well as putting her own objectives and needs before anybody else's.

As one of the people who ever watched Torchwood because of the comic relief, I still haven't found any other reason why I should watch it then GDL and JB.

I've always thought it would end in a one-night-stand

In a universe where Gwen is Not Annoying (what I'm aiming for in an AU I'm planning), it will be mutual, she satisfy her curiosity and he added to his score and that's it.

In what we've seen of Gwack on screen, it'll end with Gwen screeching at Jack for taking advantage of her or leading her on or whatever, after Jack sleeps with her and Fail to Propose, or heck, she catches him 'cheating' on her with Ianto the very next morning...at which point, both Jack and Ianto was like, "I thought you were with Rhys...and oh, he didn't know about this?".

At which point, Rhys dump Gwen, and Torchwood replace Gwen with Rhys, who would be so much moar useful. It's not like Gwen has a specialized skillz like Tosh or Owen, or is good at everything like Suzie. I think she's bright enough that with training, she can do Ianto's job (boy needs vacation), but she's gotten so insufferable they might as well bring in Rhys, who can and does cook and clean and would totally heart Myfanwy and is brave enough to take the bullet for someone.

Hey I always thought that people who ship Jack/Gwen are a bit weird until about two days ago when I heard about people who write real person fics with John Barrowman/Eve Myles pairing. Yeah, I know.

From: [identity profile] severia.livejournal.com

I haven't read John's book but I just can't imagine him with any woman, moreover with Eve.

When I heard about it for the first time, it was from a crack fic written after the author read one of those fics and it was hilarious.

It went something like "Hi. I am John. I am gay, very very gay. Wanna make babies?"

From: [identity profile] iceshade.livejournal.com

would that be THIS FIC by chance? http://a-silver-story.livejournal.com/64307.html
(this was actually the first thing I thought of when I saw your first post)
