I have to say, i thought it was funny on the last one when they said that COE was one of the most talked about tv of the summer. Yeah, because most of the fans are as pissed as hell with RTD for the whole janto thing or because both they and the critics agree that it was really badly written and was generally just crap.

I have voted, was torn on best character though and i didn't vote for RTD, not giving that man anything.

I bet it did, although I did think with the ending that John was written out as well, might just be me. I don't buy this whole Jack is coming back thing that RTD keeps saying, i think he is saying it so people might be interested but he won't actually use him. I feel sorry for John, he's trying to be a positive role model for gay teens and was playing a relationship that was a poitive thing for both the community and for opening people's minds and his screwed up boss goes and screws it up because he is pissed that his favorite isn't number one. But he and Scott are seen as one of the most positive representations of a gay couple which is cool.

OMG They have cartoons!

I don't know which to vote for, on one hand, American Dad has the happy couple I adore, on the other hand, Wayland Smithers is the grandaddy of the trope, he's been around forever, and while he had left his wife for an evil old dude who's oblivious, he's also deeply sympathetic, is the Jimmy Cricket, and has his own fun being in broadway now and then...

I voted for John Barrowman, and then Ianto Jones.

and RTD's writing and reasoning is crap

If I can kick him in the balls, I can probably make him cry. It's easy to make people cry, heck, you can do it with words too, so many people have so many insecurities.

It's much harder to make people smile and laugh, or cry in a way that isn't despairing. I applaud the people who launched the superhero genre during WWII, I bet we really needed that.

I love Max Brook's World War Z, Tales of Zombie War, it made me cry, it wasn't pointless angst delivered by deux angst machina, it was actually good writing, and it's the kinda cry that makes you feel freer in the end, because the people he writes about who was broken by the war, the people who died AFTER the war when they feel that they could let go, they did their duty, they held up hope when humanity was in the darkest times.

CoE would have been much better if the characters was actually in characters, and oh, if we could see soldiers take up arms against the orders that would have them kidnap children. FUCK THAT NOISE.

I voted for John as best lead, but I voted for Ianto as best gay character. I'm hoping the posthumous sympathy vote will give him a win. Plus, I think the character deserves it.
