Has Eve Myles ever showed any interest in going to conventions, (besides Hub 2 and the one with EL)? And has she gone to any Pride Events in Cardiff/London or anywhere else? Or has she taken any interest in any GLBT/Human Rights works?

I think she admitted in an interview that she avoided Conventions because she was nervous about getting up on stage in front of all the fans.

It's pride in M'chster a mere 15 miles away from me this wk end...as far as i know she's not there. mind you, neither are gdl or jb, as i know of....

GDL went to the one in Cardiff, i think his band performed on the stage. John i think was performing in Jersey? He was performing somewhere, whether or not it was for gay pride i am not sure.

I heard that as well that Eve doesn't like going to cons because she gets nervous, it isn't unusual for scifi stars to get nervous about going but they generally have a good time. The only one i have heard about her going to is either the hub2 or there was one she turned up to that Kai Owen went to, somehow with the fans reaction to COE, i don't think she will be going to anymore.

No, no one was ill. They were just about to go on stage when some chavs started fighting right in front of the stage... so they had to cancel it due public safety.

He did perform @ Sex, Wales & Anarchy though. And during soundcheck he didn't say: 1,2,3, but "456" lol

JB attended a Gay Pride march in Canada not that long ago. I think he is generally happy to take part in those events if his schedule allows for it.
Don't know about GDL, but I can't imagine him shunning the cause, given how much heart and soul he put into his character. That, and he was quite chuffed a couple of years back to have made the AfterElton hottest men list.

I've heard that about EM, too, that she avoids the Cons because she's nervous about being confronted with so many people. Can't condemn her for that. It's one thing to be in front of a camera with a select audience, another to be facing hundreds of rowdy people.

She was at the BFI and showed no sign of being nervous at all. In fact, she was quite giggly and cheerful. This isn't the same as being at a convention but still---if she was that nervous about getting up on stage surely it would apply here too---

She's not really a stranger to conventions. I seem to remember:

She was at The Rift back in April/May 2008.
She was at a Collectormania with John at some point.
She was at Comic Con in New York in February.
She was at the London Film and Comic Convention in July.
And one of her websites says she'll be attending a convention next year.

All these as well as the Hub 2, of course.

Doesn't have to be a lie. Just because she's been to a few conventions doesn't mean she can't still get nervous. I think she gets overwhelmed a lot as well, judging by how she was at the LFCC and the Hub 2. Nothing wrong with that.

I saw her at the Rift, which was her first ever con appearance, about two years ago, and she was visibly very nervous at first, and kind of overwhelmed by all the attention. She was lovely though, extremely friendly and chatty with the fans.
