There's a picture in the newest issue of Torchwood magazine on pages 22 and 23 that I know some people have used the Ianto part as their icon. I had never seen the whole picture before. I was disgusted with it. It shows Jack sitting on a chair with Ianto on his right facing him, one arm behind him, one hand on Jack's knee and his head down while Gwen is sitting a little in front of Jack to his left looking into the distance, one hand over the other on one of her knees. What disgusted me about it? What makes me think its a visual clue to future Gwack? The fact Jack is leaning a little toward Ianto but Jack isn't touching him. His right arm is positioned away from ianto and his left hand is on Gwen's arm.
Am I reading too much into this?

I still live in hope. Foolish that that may be.

My second thought was Why is Jack looking soooo possessive with Gwen. That gave some bad shivers, 'cause it looked like Gwen was looking far away, and Jack was keeping her with him. Same with anuther picture. They are all standing, Ianto is on one side, Jack and Gwen on the other side. Gwen looks opposite ways than Ianto, Jack is turned toward Ianto, but look at Gwen, with an expression...Gah! It gave me the feeling that there would be Jack/Gwen in this series.

Gwen in those two shots is made to look almost angelic. I didn't think the hold was possessive on the one with the chair, to be honest, where he is holding her isn't a possessive hold, its more a hold to pull someone back kind of hold, like you do if they are going to go and do something stupid. A possessive hold would have been more a hand on her shoulder but that is my opinion.
The second one, i think represents where the show was going. Ianto at the back and a part from the other two, which means he is already gone, jack facing ianto and looking back at gwen means he is leaving and what he is leaving behind and Gwen is at the front with, i suppose, a determined look to show who is going to carry on tw. I don't think he is looking at her with any romantic interest, its more a look of, its your turn now, tw is yours because i am done with it.
But that is just me, lol.

What I said was the first impression I got when I saw them. And when I said possessive, what I thought was more whant you said (I always had difficulties finding the right words...and it's worse in english since it now my language).
Now that we know about CoE, what you said is exactly how I saw that picture. I didn't saw the look as romantic interrest, but more sad with a bit of longing (and I thought maybe since I knew she was pregnant, married, looking for a house, that she would take a tiny step back from TW to take care of her family. Wishful thinking. I know xD. Now, we know what that longing and sadness represents...*is sad*).

About the longing thing, it could also be seen as him looking at what she has, aka the baby and rhys, and his longing is for the fact that he never ( at this moment in time ) got that chance with ianto and she represents all that missed oportunities they could of had. It could also be as a subtle form of resentment as well, that he is sad and longing for what she has but also resents the fact that she has everything whilst he has nothing.

Next to french (my language), english is easy. All those rules, all those exceptions. *lol* But both are beautiful languages. If I had been from somewhere else, I don't think I could have learn french all by myself like I'm doing for english...and now I took spanish at Uni. That's going to make things a bit more complicated lol.

...But in my mind it looks like he is holding her back. That would be so Gwen...She's about to do something utterly stupid and Jack is trying to hold her back because she wouldn't listen to anyone else.

The only hope we have is that pretty much all of the pictures were lies. All those beautiful pictures of Jack clinging to Ianto like he'd never let him go, like he was the most precious thing in the world turned out to be a lie. The bad ass gun picture of Ianto was bullshit, and we never got to see a single on-screen moment where Jack showed Ianto that he wanted to be with him. In fact, I hate Jack for his treatment of Ianto far more than anything he did to the children.
So if all the good pictures were a lie, at least we know the bad pictures (anything hinting at Gwack) is a lie too.
Or we have to hope.

Day 3 really puzzled me,because Jack seems so distant to Ianto, and again,we don't know why.If he had explained anything it would've helped! And don't get me started about the beans scene. That was so not Jack!
I did think he showed he loved Ianto in Day 4. He does tell the 456 that he takes it all back and he won't fight if he can keep Ianto. He begs Ianto not to leave him.
So I thought there were some good things between Jack and Ianto, but nothing like we were told would happen.
I still would like to know in what universe they thought we'd be happy with the outcome of Jack and Ianto's relationship in S3?
