Found this lovely regarding "she who cannot be named"

Are there any famous fictional characters that you would love to play, any characters from literature or from comic books, or if they remade an old movie, a character from that?
Yeah. Without a doubt, Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman, really?
Oh my god. She's like, my hero. I try to make Gwen like her as much as possible. I even mentioned this year maybe doing the entire third season in hot pants...and a little leather tiara, on the beach. But they didn't go for it. And I'm hounding Russell T. Davies to write me the new, kind of Sin City style Wonder Woman. It could look like a comic series of the new Wonder Woman. Yeah that would be wicked!

I don't see Gwen as anything close to Wonder Woman, more like Poison Ivy.

As a Poison Ivy fan, I object to that!
Gwen is moar like...Emma Frost, who slept with Scott Summers after he lost Jean, I'll blame him too, but rebound! Except, Emma has a tragic backstory for why she's bitchy, Gwen doesn't.

Did you read what she said about the Face of Boe? I thought she couldn't be as immature as Gwen. Guess I was wrong.

Gwen's morals are highly questionable, at the very most.

Somehow, I don't think she really applies this to her own character.
Except Captain Jack of course.
Except Captain Jack. At the moment, but you don't know why that is, do you? Or how long it will last. I don't think he knows.
Hello? Eve, do you even watch Doctor Who? Or is this your oh-so-subtle way of saying you want Jack permanently out of the way so that Torchwood can revolve exclusively around Gwen?
Well, he becomes the Face of Bo apparently.
But have you seen the Face of Bo? That dude's has been beaten up a good couple of times. He ain't looking healthy. And where's his body for god sake? [Laughs]
I can't help but wonder what John would think of this, given that we all know how thrilled he was with the concept of Jack evolving into the Face of Boe.
I have tried hard to dissociate my hatred of Gwen from the actress, but this is the second interview I've read with her that has shown how increasingly egocentric she's becoming.
It's incredible to note the growing differences between her and John Barrowman. He has a big ego - he'd need to in order to do everything he does. But he manages to have that and not offend anyone. Eve Myles hasn't achieved that yet, and it doesn't look like she's ever going to.
And as for her getting the role of Wonder Woman - I'm sorry to be blunt, but even before every other obstacle and issue, that gap in her teeth has to go.

But on a personal level missing Naoko [Mori] and Burn [Gorman], of course, I miss my two friends. But you've got to keep reminding yourself that's the nature of the job, and they went out as heroes.
Did they exit because it was their time or were they in the way of getting you in the catbird seat? You have to wonder. YMMV
Ihave to wonder if Burn and Naoko feel the same way too?
And yes, I can see John being not too happy about the Face of Boe comment.
Also the actual date of the article is Jul. 3rd 2009. Assumption much?

After Tosh and Owen died, Jack was still there for poor little Gwen to cling to and make googoo eyes at. After Jack lost Ianto, she clearly thought she would have him completely to herself.
I actually giggled at that end scene in Day Five.
Gwen: Come back with us.
Jack: What for?
Gwen: For me.
Jack: *silence, and a minute shake of his head*
That was the best slap in the face to Gwen that I've seen in all three seasons - Jack telling her that she was not enough to keep him on Earth, and then leaving her doing her weepy doe-eyes routine to a streak of teleportation light.
I still hold out hope that if Eve Myles is in series 4 of Torchwood, that we get to see her suffer a horrible death.

I am seriously thinking of sending some of her stories to the BBC. She is only 10 but they are very good---and better than RTD actually, in my opinion.
As for Gwen/Eve/RTD--- I wonder who is manipulating who?
The trouble is---many folk actually think she is beautiful, a fantastic actress and the gap in her teeth is great. At least according to some Web Sites they do. I have never met any myself---obviously my numerous family members, members of my Choir, members of my Orchestra and friends are all idiots.
I have really tried to separate Eve from Gwen but every time she opens her mouth she makes it more difficult---

re: Eve Myle's looks
I actually think she's ridiculously pretty, like Jack, shame that there there is NOTHING ELSE.
I sat through Random Shoes, back when I didn't quite know what Torchwood was, because I thought she was pretty (there aren't much brunettes in American media now).
...now that I know about the character though, I'm like, soooooo turned OFF.
Reminds me of someone I know actually, except in the case of the person I know, it's a himbo. Gorgeous looks, nothing much, emotionally manipulative. Like, he rubbed in my face the girls he took to dates in this pretty place I introduced him to, and when I was like, 'meh', he gets grumpy. When I was going to go off with my mates, he suddenly have a stomach ache so I have to sit with him. He ignores me when I try to get his attention, and then act like a spoil child when I was talking to someone else.
Got the cow eyes of emo too. So pretty and so vapid I want to puke.

Does John really want Jack to be the Face of Boe? I get ill everytime I see Boe and think of him as Jack. What a horrible existence that is for anyone, especially a man like Jack.
I was actually happy when RTD said it was written as a joke and people ran with it. Also,as we saw in CoE,Jack's body always repairs itself,so how could he be Boe?
LOL-I know it's a fictional character,but I'm hoping Jack is spared that fate,at least.
