I have just realised that antigwenallies is one of the friendliest torchwood comms!
When I post something on here, whether it be a fic of a peice of art, I always get con-crit and positive feedback :) but when I post on other comms I constantly get people telling me I am no good and that everything is wrong!
I also found that when I did the post about creating a book for Gareth full of messages from his fans on this comm I got people giving me messages and generally being polite but on certain other comms I got huge rants from people because (as i recently found out) someone else was panning to do the same thing, I did say that the more messages he gets the better and that two books is better than one but people just kept sending torrents of abuse saying that my idea was unimaginative and that I should get a life!
I am fed up of being treated like this on other comms so am going to split my time between antigwenallies and fanfiction.net rather than on other torchwood comms.
Anyhoo just wanted to say thankyou for being such a nice group of people! Thx, being a member of antigwenallies is something I can be proud of thanks to you! :) :)

Hey, we are one happy, if slightly mad family. And I totally agree with you. We have our rants about Gwen, because... well, *points to comms' name*

And needless to say we've all been bitterly disappointed with certain PTBs lately, but we all abide by the no abuse policy, and that's one thing that makes it such a great comm.

Thank you and we appreciate you being here. I like this comm a lot as well. The crit is always positive and done in a well thought out manner. We bash a fictional character and not each other. I had really not noticed this till this morning when on another comm a person was reamed for expressing her opinion about the fictional character we all know. Our comm was recommended so I hope they find their way here. I too feel safe hanging with like minded people. I do wish other comms were as gracious so I could feel comfortable hanging out there. Best wishes to everyone here for creating a lovely environment for people to post in.

I know just how you feel. i normally write fics and have a huge selection over on deviantart.com but whenever i posted around some torchwood comms all i got were incredibly harsh comments. I'm glad you still post around here though i love the AGA

if you are interested in just plain old fashioned fic comms and not wanting the 'drama' of the fan comms, there's also epicproportion which came into existence when one of the fan comm mod's decided she didn't like serial fiction. but it was perfectly okay for her to promote her own personal non-related projects.

AGA is a fun place to write slightly cracked fic for. I mean, if we really look at the crack palace that is Torchwood, how could we not?

Most of the people around here probably don't remember "Stake the Spike" which was an anti-Spike (from Buffy) newsgroup. Now those people had talent...

I think it's because we are all together because we feel the same way and a sizeable percentage of the Torchwood community feel a degree of animosity for us because of our open dislike of Gwen. They don't separate the person behind the username from the way we feel about one character from a television show. We're all quite nice and we appreciate each other. It's nice to know you can post anything or not at all and still be welcomed. :D

Well, if you think about it, it's only logical. We all hate the Cow of TW, so we do our damnedest best not to become such a condescending, lying, whining hypocrite as she is. ;)

With the bigger Torchwood comms, I've never found negative feedback, as such ... but then again, it's hard to get in the loop of friendly people as they all seem to know each other. *sigh* So I always come here if I need to see people being nice and friendly to each other; even if I don't post or comment, it's nice to see it. :-) ♥
