I really really hate RTD right now. He has put a video montage about Janto up on his website to I know Him So Well By JB & DB. Does this man have no shame?! Talk about flaunting it in janto lovers faces.

There's angry comments around the web, email has been posted, some of his co-writer has been agressively twitted, he must know we are angry. Yet he post a Janto tribute as in : "I really loved Janto but I really really need to kill him, and make Jack be terrible cause you know, I don't know how to end a season of a serie without people leaving or dying, buy the DVD".

I've received the DVD's today, and one of the extra's is the 'Unclassified'. I hadn't seen it before because I'm outside the UK (stupid BBC), but anyway, it has sort of a Janto music vid that's well... incredibly beautiful.

I couldn't watch the whole video because that self serving liar was making me ill. I'm talking about RTD of course.
You can't have a threat to the earth that's this big without someone dying? What about Doomsday? Rose doesn't die in the epic battle-she goes to a parallel universe. In Journey's End -which is a battle for the UNIVERSE-she still doesn't die. Wouldn't her death have been as dramatic in those shows as Ianto's was in Torchwood?
He may love Gareth-and he may have acknowledged previously that Ianto quietly stole the show in S2,but the fact is that his favorite character is and always will be,Gwen. Just like Rose is his favorite Doctor Who character. So those characters will never die. I don't know if he mentioned what he said in the Torchwood Declassified DVD in this video. In that one he says that Ianto had to die because Jack had to revert back to his "dark self" and give up Steven. As if Jack wouldn't have done that if he had to even if Ianto were alive. He's always done what he thought he had to do to save the world,even if people thought he was being ruthless. RTD also said that Jack wouldn't have left if Ianto hadn't died,but that is also not true. He did it before. If he needed to go Ianto would've either gone with him or told him to go and just remember to come back.
In an interview prior to CoE RTD talks about how as a writer it's a "joy" to be able to know you can kill off characters. It's a joy to do so-it makes you like a God! And you can't like your characters too much. WTF? So much for this being all about the art.
I can't stand hypocrites,and we were sold so much on the relationship between Jack and Ianto developing so much during this season. We were told that we would be happy with the outcome!Now that's out and out bullshit,and obviously done to ensure that the move to BBC1 would be a success.
Which set up the fourth season-that will now be without Ianto.

RTD doesn't actually have anything to do with his website. If you read the contact information, there's nothing but BBC Wales, no agent or anything. It's apparently a third-party website.
