I have been thinking, i have been looking at the publicity for TW COE and i realised that neither John or Gareth had the same amount of pics as Eve and she was also pushed front and centre in them, i thought at the time it was because she was the only woman but now, look back at it, should we have taken this as a sign of where TW was going? Also, there was that quote from Eve when she as at that convention in New York about Gwen becoming what she is meant to be in TW. I was just wondering what you think. It could be that i am doing too much thinking, lol, i seem to be doing that al lot but its bugging me now.


Also, the petition now has a part three and has over 2400 sigs. Cool or what?

when i first saw the photos it bothered me, after all jack is the head of torchwood not gwen. i feel like we were the victims of a bait and switch we tuned in expecting to see torchwood(jack,ianto, gwen and co.) instead we saw a valentine to gwen bloody cooper. jack and ianto were treated like ken dolls to gwen's badass action girl.

RTD is worse than a 13-year-old girl writing HP fan fic when it comes to blatant, badly-written Mary Sues. He tears everything to shreds except for Gwen, who never suffers any consequences. He might as well have given her a pony as well, just to seal the deal.

And of course it's always about Mary Sue.

I've fortunately been able to spare myself the pain of COE, being in the USA. However, I do know full well what happens and my take on it is that if there's a season 4 it'll be with Gwen OR Gwen's child leading Torchwood. I'd place bets that if season 4 happens it'll be at least 20-50 years in the future...and if it's the child in the lead wouldn't be surprised if Gwen's child is Jack new interest -.-

I think COE was about setting it up for Gwen and/or Gwen's child to be the lead in the future. Not even sure they'd bring Jack back for that matter.

Actually, I think you're right, As suicidal and/or arrogant as the writers are, they can't really expect Gwen-all-mighty to run Torchwood, a secret organization that deal with Weevil in particular and scum of the universe in general, whose employees hardly lived over 35, will run to save the world as a eight months pregnant or with a baby sticked to her breast. Who will buy that ? besides Gwakers of course.
