Thats It, never watching Torchwood again, my appreciation of RTD has gone so low, that i prize plankton over him! Gwen cooper show ladies and gentleman is now in session!!

Im going to sit in a corner and finish crying before writing an angry letter to BBC Torchwood, who's with me??

p.s even my own mother dislikes RTD now and she does not like Janto or the show at all!

P.s.s One good thing, he didn't want to stay because Gwen was there!

Totally with you.

The only good thing about this episode, is that I'm no longer upset about ep 4. Because I'm too busy being fucking furious.

Seriously though, I am considering sending a snail mail to the BBC to complain.

Fucking pissed off to the extreme is all I can say right now. I am too angry and upset to write anything more coherent. Don't even get me started on the fact that Gwen came out of it alright as fucking usual! >:(

That grade a fucking wanker. I can't tell you how much i hate him and the BBC right this minute.

He has basically, taken out the two favorites, the two with the best chemistry and the two best actors for some useless little actress and a character that is just pissing aweful.

I have a new petition. Sign and send it to everyone you know.

http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/antigwen

And also, write to both the BBC and RTD as many times as you can.

please post all the bashes soon. what i do not understand is why rtd a gay man is so hung up about gwen/rose types? he killed ianto, turned jack into an emo wreck(did the same with the doctor) the gay couple suffers all the losses and gwen walks away with rhys and baby. the theme was supposed to be about loss but what did gwen loss? bastards!

From: [identity profile] outwhere.livejournal.com

That was a very strange series and an even stranger ending as other people have said Gwen is the only one who has come out of things anywhere near normal and to be honest while I am obviously not a Gwacker, I cannot see them being happy with the way things ended either.

I definitely wasn't expecting Ianto to die and I cannot see the series continuing as there is realistically one main character. I was expecting Martha and Mickey to turn up and in the end we got none of them with no mention of Mickey. No Ianto, Jack gone having lost his lover and killed his grandson, really that will be some twist to get him back even if JB has the time/inclination to do so. Gwen alone heavily pregnant with Jack saying that she is not worth staying for and no hub.

Can someone explain to me one thing?

All I ever heard about other than the fanbase *loving* what we were going to see Janto wise, was the fact that the team would each have a sacrifice to make.

Pending my seeing this *downloading as we speak*, can someone explain to me what Gwen sacrificed of her own?

Rhys = still there
Bambino = check
Job = check three

No loss of her own personal.

Ianto lost his life, Jack had a double whammy ... why the hell is all about her?!?!?

*shuts up and goes to sign petitions now*

Gwen lost Jack, obviously. We were all supposed to be brainwashed into rooting for her to get together with Jack, and now that fairytale ending has teleported away. *gag*

From: [identity profile] dancingbarefoot.livejournal.com

Pffth please.

Gag indeed. If that's the future leader of the TW3 team, might as well hand off the deed to earth to any alien race, cause we be screwed!!!

Best thing was him basically telling her that she was no reason to stay and taking off to find alt!universe Ianto and having a bunch of ass kicking little coffee loving flirtatious archivist slash time agent type children.

I won't even download it. It's like watching/reading a bad fanfic with Mary Sue Cooper bouning all over the scene. I hope RTD get shunned at Comic Con!

Does the ratings are good ?

From: [identity profile] kaja-jones.livejournal.com

I'm only finishing my download because all I have left is about half of part 5 but who knows when I'm going to watch the past day 3.

From: [identity profile] holly-bg.livejournal.com

I am writing a letter now! I am so angry and disappointed at how that ended. RTD really fucked up big time. Is this really the response he wanted?

From: [identity profile] ceindreadh.livejournal.com

Unfortunately the ratings have been pretty damn good.
Which means that S4 is a definite possibility. How? I don't know, but i'm sure they'll pull some shit out of somewhere to use.

From: [identity profile] manics-fan.livejournal.com

The problem with that is that the ratings for this series will in no way reflect the ratings for any new series now, because thanks to RTD's stupidity they will have just lost a huge chunk of their fan base who wont watch the next series (myself included) without Ianto. Yes, the ratings may have been great for these episodes, but if they were hoping for good ratings for the next series then RTD has just fucked that up big time.

My thought's are this: is it just me or did the writers seem to completely warp Jack's character. I know I saw some behind the scene's clip with John Barrowman saying how he thought he had a good grip on who Chaptain Jack was and had to change a lot of his thinking when he go the script and had to play Jack differently. And as a last note to the very end Gwen needed to wake up, no Jack was not going to stay he's just essentially lost his entire family and feels responsible for it. Woman, you are not that important, all you can say you lost is a friend.

This is how I see things now: RTD's has definetly ended his career with a bang both for Doctor Who and Torchwood, so why not just kill off everyone and leave Gwen-bloody-Cooper to survive (Yet again) this. What makes me angry is that not long ago, John Barrowman apparently during his skychat that everyone would be very happy with the new series, when he bloody well knew it wouldn't be!!!
Saying that much, I'm never, ever, ever watching Torchwood again. First they kill off Tosh and Owen just for the sake of killing a charcter, to say there is "real" danger in the show, and then they do the same thing with Ianto. This is going to Backfire so much for RTD's and Julier Gardiner. Excuse me while I go sign petitions and find my axe grinder, I'm getting the next flight to the UK to do some serious body disembaling with RTD's.

From: [identity profile] krillitanestorm.livejournal.com

I'd gladly sign your petition if you did one, but I live in Australia. So luckily for RTD's, I havn't raider into his house with my newly sharpened butchers knife to do some disemboweling. One of the Jack/Ianto communities I belong to is talking about getting all of there members to send a packet of coffee each to the BBC all at the same time in attempt to get Ianto back now!

From: [identity profile] theromangeneral.livejournal.com

The coffee idea might work (assuming that torchwood does get renewed) if the response is anything like the tissue box plan to get Daniel Jackson back to Stargate.

Really, I'm surprised that the BBC executives let this happen - sure Ianto dying gives the whole danger and pisses Jack off enough to make him able to do what needed to be done, but it effectively killed the show (unless the BBC didn't want to renew and this gives them an out).

From: [identity profile] likemycoffee.livejournal.com

He couldn't really say that we wouldn't like the series though to be fair to John Barrowman, it'll all be written into his contract. The jackxianto community mods have suggested that we send envelopes full of coffee to BBC wales to protest about the ending:)

From: [identity profile] likemycoffee.livejournal.com

The only good thing about the ending for me is that the Gwackers did not win. Jack said he couldn't bear to look at Gwen and when she asked him to stay at the end he basically said that she wasn't anything to him. He rejected her. I feared he might say that he'd stay ot that he'd come back for her one day but he didn't.
To me the Gwackers can have no joy from that ending at all;)

From: [identity profile] weevilrockyou.livejournal.com

Have e-mailed BBC wales!

I have already an email of complaint about how RTD ended this series and have sent it to BBC wales whom havn't replied!
I am going to write a letter to RTD himself at some point as well and hopefully if enough complaints are sent then something has to be done! *sits in corner and hope for miracle*

From: [identity profile] amythest-n-ice.livejournal.com

My biggest problem with this week wasn't actually Ianto dying, it was heartbreaking, and poor Jack could probably have done without it, never mind then having to sacrifice his grandson. No, my biggest problem was Gwen, not only did she hog the screen for most of the week, (annoying, but we've come to expect it from TW), but at the end when Jack is leaving to escape from the pain and the memories, she stands there with her husband not six feet away, bun well and truly in the oven, a happy life to look forward to, and when Jack asks what he has to stay for now, she looks up at him with those big, damp, cow eyes and wibbles "Me." SCREAM!!!!! I could have tolerated EVERYTHING else about this week, but that was beyond annoying.

My 10 year old wasn't allowed to watch any of this but her older Brother told her what happened. She was very upset but yesterday showed me a letter she is intending to send to BBC Wales. She said I could post it here so here it is:

To anyone concerned with Torchwood,

Please get rid of Russell Davies because he is a very horrible man who killed Ianto. And Torchwood is not nice any more and if we want to see anything nasty that makes us sad we can watch the BBC news, which always has sad things in it. Please read this,

from Anna-Louise Tesia Sierakowiak, aged 10.

From: [identity profile] jennelldhalrbj.livejournal.com

Anna-Louise is good at languages {and spelling too}. She is very musical but isn't very good at Math, unfortunately. Any Math she is presented with elitists a great deal of moaning and groaning.

She is, at this minute, writing a Torchwood story. She told me everyone is in it. I have promised to put it on my LJ as she hasn't one of her own.

From: [identity profile] littlebitcloser.livejournal.com

I'm in the US and have the whole thing sitting on DVR and before I watched I wanted to get UK's take on it, cause everything I kept seeing was not promising. At this point I know what happens...I don't think I actually want to watch it.

From: [identity profile] ceindreadh.livejournal.com

I think you should watch episode 1, because that was the only episode that in any way, shape or form resembled Torchwood S1 or 2. And then watch episode 2 just to get the resolution from ep 1.
Then delete the rest.
If you really want to see more, stop the recording on day 4, just as soon as Jack and Ianto plant their guns on the counter at Thames House.

From: [identity profile] littlebitcloser.livejournal.com

Thanks. I'll probably watch them and still buy the DVD, but just continue to live in my happy land of denial...

From: [identity profile] littlebitcloser.livejournal.com

you know the one where Owen is alive/or a zombie, Tosh is happy at her computer, Jack and Ianto are..well doing something..;)
